WORKSHOP Very LIVE DEAD!

This workshop is organized within the framework of the Weeks of Science and Innovation in the Canary Islands 2019. It aims to bring an approach to the Aboriginal society of Gran Canaria based on the information that the study of the bones and teeth of this population and its mortuary practices is providing. With this activity students will be introduced to the works that are currently being carried out in The Canary Museum, within the framework of the research projects that the institution is addressing. This is intended to show how information is obtained and interpreted to reconstruct multiple aspects related to the forms and living conditions of an archaeological community: diet, economy, social relations, demographics, origins, etc.
Materials of a different nature will be displayed and a practical activity will be carried out that allows students to develop a process of analysis and interpretation of scientific data.
The workshop also aims to highlight the historical value of the archaeological material and the consequent need to protect and respect the enclaves in which such testimonies are s

till preserved. DESTINATIONS: ESO and Baccalaureate students (2
