This Thursday, October 19, the exhibition of Teresa Correa "Talking about birds and flowers" opens. It is an exhibition organized by the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM) with the collaboration of El Museo Canario.
Although the exhibition is installed in the Sala San Antonio Abad, one of his pieces has been housed in the emblematic Sala Verneau of The Canary Museum, where it can be visited until the closing of the exhibition on January 21,
2018.La exhibition , curated by Raquel Zenker, is an autobiographical proposal in which Correa offers a look at the archaeology of the image. It consists of a dozen works, mostly of new production, created from photographs and installations designed specifically for this project. With the "Box
of Light" on display at The Canary Museum, the artist establishes a personal link with the anthropological collection that is usually exhibited in this space, and particularly with the skull 1.383, which belonged to an Aboriginal woman with which Correa shares some anatomical similar
ities. The exhibition will be inaugurated at The Canary Museum at 19:30, and in the Sala San Antonio Abad at 20:30 h.
