Activity: GUIDE for a DAY
Throughout the academic year the centers that wish can participate in the project "Guides for a Day". The proposal gives students a different way to get to know the museum and get closer to the indigenous past of the island of Gran Canaria. Thus, the activity proposes that students take on the challenge of being the "museum guides" for other colleagues, whether from the same center or different, and, preferably, from different educational levels to their own.
It is a collaborative proposal that is worked together between the museum and teachers. In it, the group, with the help of the teacher and educator of the institution, will work on the contents of the exhibition, which address the lifestyles of the Aboriginal population; they will learn to tour the museum rooms according to the suggested itinerary for this activity; will delve into a selection of archaeological materials and exhibition resources to support this route, etc.

For more information about this activity, you can write to didactica@elmuseocanario.com
